July 1st 9H-17H : Morning : Balancing the 8 Extra Meridians + Scalp acupuncture / Afternoon : Dr. Tan's Balance Method to treat OBGYN disorders****
- Balancing the 8 Extra Meridians and Scalp acupuncture : This course covers two powerful treatment modalities that have broad applications, yet they are simple, effective and easy to incorporate. The points of the Eight Extraordinary meridians are discussed in relation to Dr. Tan's systems of the Balance Method. Dr. Tan will explain how he incorporates the Eight extra meridians to increase the effectiveness of his treatments. He will discuss how to create effective treatments using the yin/yang balancing dynamic along with the traditional confluent points of the Eight Extras. Combining these meridians with Balance Method theory allows participants access to more powerful and expanded clinical treatments. He will also discuss when he uses scalp acupuncture in clinical practice and what disorders it is best suited to treat. He will discuss how he incorporates scalp acupuncture along with other Balance Method treatments to enhance the effectiveness.
- Treatment of Gynecological and Urological disorders : In this particular course, Dr. Tan will focus on the numerous advanced systems which can be used to treat gynecological and urological disorders. His discussion will focus on differential diagnosis and how to diagnose using Chinese medical theory. Common disorders will include: PMS, menopause, infertility, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, endometriosus, fibroids, urinary track infections, prostate disorders and kidney stones. Finally, Dr. Tan will give detailed discussion of cases and explain his thought process for each one. He will discuss complicated cases that students are having a difficult time with and how he would treat them in his practice.
